Dr. Jeff Dand
Jeff graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 1997 and then continued on to Florida to complete his Veterinary internship. While in Florida Jeff focused on canine behavior and dermatology. Since then Jeff has operated several clinics in Calgary and Airdrie always with a priority of great client service and patient care. He now spends his time between his clinics in Calgary as well as his clinics in Victoria, BC. His three rescue pets at home are Cola (Pitbull/Lab Cross), Dexter (Brussels Griffon) & Sheriff (Domestic Longhair Cat).

Dr. Monica Kovacs
Dr. Monica Kovacs was born and raised in Calgary. She realized at a young age that her dream was to become a veterinarian and recently graduated from the University of Calgary’s veterinary medicine program. Dr. Kovacs has a special interest in small animals, exotic pets and wildlife medicine. She is currently the volunteer veterinarian for the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation, a rehabilitation center for injured and orphaned wildlife. Dr. Kovacs is excited to be able to offer veterinary care to exotic pets through the Airdrie Animal Clinic.
On her days off, Dr. Kovacs likes to go hiking with her two border collies, Darwin and Duke, or cuddle with her Siamese cat, Mocha. She is also training her border collies in obedience and dog agility and is proud to say that Darwin has achieved his CKC Canine Good Neighbor Certificate |
Dr. Jenevieve Fuller - Currently on Maternity Leave
Dr. Jenevieve Fuller received her Doctorates in Veterinary Medicine in 2010 from the University of California Davis. During her junior and senior year she was awarded into the Phi Zeta honor society for being in the top 10% of her class. After graduating she went on to complete a one year rotating small animal internship; where she received further training in emergency medicine, small animal surgery, cardiology and small animal internal medicine. Since then she has worked as a general practitioner for dogs and cats. Dr. Fuller was born and raised in California, living in many different areas of that state. She is excited to now be here in Alberta with her husband, children and house full of pets.

Dr. Andrea Gohm

Dr. Andrea obtained her DVM degree with distinction from the University of Calgary in 2020. She worked at a mixed-animal practice in rural Alberta before starting at Airdrie Animal Clinic in 2022. While she enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, she is particularly interested in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and imaging (radiology, ultrasonography), and has a soft spot for our feline patients.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and travelling with her boyfriend, playing games with friends and family, and exploring new technologies like 3D printing. She currently has no pets but hopes to rescue a canine or feline hiking buddy in the near future.

Nicole Gigian, RVT

Originally from Manitoba, Nicole moved to Alberta several years ago. She grew up loving all animals but had a special passion for horses. Following her passion, she received her diploma in the Animal Health Technology program in 2008. As a new RVT, she worked in a variety of different areas in the veterinary world including small animal, equine, emergency care, and bovine embryo transfer. Working in these different areas allowed her to gain vast knowledge and experience. After moving to Alberta, she was hired on with Dand Veterinary Clinics as an RVT and helped Dr. Dand to bring Springbank Pet Hospital from the ground up. Over the years she has helped with the opening of several clinics including a few on Vancouver Island and soon realized her passion for management as well as the business side of Veterinary clinics. She now manages and operates the four Dand clinics in Calgary and is enjoying every moment of it. She currently has two pets, Nim a little black cat and Phoebe a rescue white shepherd mix.
Wanda Weise

Wanda was born in Calgary, but as a Military brat has lived all over Canada. Wanda is as passionate about people as she is about animals and has attended the University of Calgary for her Human Resources education. She has three cats named Hex, Jinx and Charm, and one Chihuahua Named Tia! In Wanda’s spare time she likes to play in the dirt, curl up with a good book, or spend the evenings Gaming online with her family!

Holly has always had a huge passion for animals, and obtained her certificate as a Veterinary Office Assistant from Bow Valley College in 2011, she then joined the Airdrie Animal Clinic team in February 2012. Holly was born and raised in Calgary, but moved to Airdrie in 2013 with her very spoiled ginger kitty named Simba.

Haley

Haley was born and raised in Airdrie and attended the Animal Health Technology program at Fairview College which she graduated from in 2014. She has practiced in many different aspects of veterinary medicine from emergency, large animal, and exotics with a special interest in emergency and critical care. She has 2 cats named Lillian & Marge. When you aren't seeing her bopping around the clinic, she usually spends her extra time cooking, outside or spending time on her family farm.

Wendy

Wendy graduated with a DVM degree from the University of the Philippines, worked as a veterinary nurse in California for 2 years and then practiced as a licensed veterinarian and as a consultant for a kennel that bred and trained sniffer and guard dogs in Metro Manila until her family moved to Calgary in 2005. She started to work with Dr. Dand in May of that year at the Crowfoot Veterinary Hospital then moved to the Airdrie Animal Clinic in 2011. She has been using her veterinary knowledge and experience to assist the doctors and nurses care for patients and assist clients with their needs to make their experience at the clinic informative, efficient and pleasant. Wendy is also responsible for the inventory needed to keep the clinic running smoothly, and would love to hear if clients are happy with the food or prescribed products they have purchased through the clinic, or if clients have heard of new products that may benefit other patients. Sadly, Elaine(the former clinic cat) has passed away, but she adopted Kori, a black and white DMH from the Calgary Humane Society, who likes to play fetch with her mice toys.
Taylor

Taylor was raised in Airdrie Alberta, and currently is pursuing her post-secondary education here at the University of Calgary where she is completing her Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise and Health Physiology. When she isn’t busy with studies or at work, Taylor can be found spending time staying active with friends and family, her 3 kittens; Molly, Max, and Gabbie Jean and her dog Kevin. Here at the clinic, Taylor works hard to ensure every patient feels safe, happy, and comfortable so you may find her giving any and all animals a little bit of extra love!
Shay

Born and raised in northern Alberta, Shay has always been in love with animals. After graduating high school she went to college for her Equine Business and Event Management then dove right into the vet industry. She's been everywhere from the Northwest Territories to southern Alberta working in vet clinics and barns. She dedicates herself to client care and specifically small animal nutrition. She has taken many courses on small animal nutrition and is always seeking to improve her knowledge to assist in the welfare of the patients. Shay lives east of Airdrie and has two horses, two cats and two guinea pigs. She is always eager to assist and ensure that everyone's questions are answered.
Mackenzie

Mackenzie was born in Langley, British Columbia but raised in Airdrie, Alberta. Her love for animals has grown over years and she has had pets her whole life. She has been working at Airdrie Animal Clinic since graduating high school and is still exploring her options for post secondary education. In the mean time, Mackenzie loves being at the clinic but she also loves being at home with her dogs Finnagin, Oakley, Bear and her 2 cats, Blu and Oliver. She is grateful to be able to help animals, learn from others every single day, and can’t wait for what the future brings her.
Sheree

Sheree is a transplant from Saskatchewan. She has several years of experience in the client care area and has a love for animals. She and her Jack Russell “Terrorist”, Bentley, have made their home in Airdrie to be close to kids and grandchildren. Spare time is spent with family and interests include reading, cooking & baking, crocheting and listening to music.
Rokelle

Rokelle was born and raised in the Wheatland area . Her love for animals started at a very young age as she grew up with horses, dogs and chickens. When not in the clinic, Rokelle loves spending her time with her rescue dog Lilla or is out at the barn riding . She is excited to expand her education within the next year and is looking to take the Animal Health Technology program as well as Equine Massage Therapy program. Rokelle works hard to ensure that you and your fur baby have the best care and leave our clinic with a big bright smile.
Billie

Billie is originally from a small town in central British Columbia and moved to Alberta in 2020. She plans to stay in the animal Heath industry and eventually attend an Animal Health Technician program. When she’s not at the clinic she likes to be in the mountains with her two dogs Skipper and Onyx and her adventure kitty Bimbo. She currently has six pets, two horses, two cats and two dogs.

Rhubarb

Rhubarb is the newest addition to the AAC family. You will usually find her lounging in her corner of reception or basking in any sunbeam she can find in the clinic. Rhubarb loves her bum scratches and will pretty much be your best friend if you show her an ounce of love! She also never turns down a good treat- We have learnt to keep a close eye on her waistline.
